The short answer: Ro Sparks is a compounded prescription drop that combines sildenafil 55 mg and tadalafil 22 mg, the active ingredients in Viagra and Cialis, in one tablet that dissolves under the tongue. It costs $12 a dose on Ro's monthly plan, from $48 a month for 4 doses to $168 for 14. Ro says it works in about 15 minutes on average after it dissolves and lasts up to 36 hours. Ro states that Sparks is not FDA-approved. If price matters most, Ro's own generic sildenafil starts at $4 a dose, and the partners below list FDA-approved generics for less.

ED Samples is independent and reader-supported. Ro is not one of our partners, and this page has no Ro affiliate link. We may earn a commission from the alternative providers listed below, and that never changes what we report about Ro Sparks.

This article is educational and is not medical advice. It is for adults 18 and older. Every product discussed is a prescription medication that requires a consultation with a licensed clinician, who decides whether anything is prescribed. Prices change, so confirm current pricing on ro.co before you order.

The short version

  • What it is: a compounded sublingual drop with sildenafil 55 mg and tadalafil 22 mg, per Ro's safety information. Ro says it is not FDA-approved.
  • Ro Sparks price: $12 a dose on a monthly plan, $48 a month for 4 doses up to $168 for 14. Quarterly plans get a $15 discount every 3 months.
  • Onset and duration: Ro says about 15 minutes on average after the drop dissolves (about 10 minutes to dissolve), and up to 36 hours of effect from the tadalafil.
  • Side effects Ro lists: headache, flushing, indigestion, abnormal vision, nasal congestion, back and muscle pain, nausea, dizziness, rash and limb pain.
  • Hard rules: one drop per 24 hours, not within 24 hours of any other sildenafil or tadalafil product, never with nitrates or riociguat. It contains Red No. 40, Yellow No. 5 and may contain coconut.
  • Cheaper: Ro's own generic sildenafil is $4 a dose for 25 mg (8-dose minimum). Nu Image Medical lists generic sildenafil as low as $3 and a compounded sildenafil plus tadalafil dissolve tablet as low as $4 a tablet.

Lowest Per-Tablet Price

Nu Image Medical ED Tablets

4.0Generic sildenafil tablet as low as $3/tablet and generic tadalafil as low as $5/tablet, each on a 12-month supply (provider-published, verify current)

A telehealth clinic founded in 2004, online since 2008 and available in all 50 states, that lists FDA-approved generic sildenafil and tadalafil tablets alongside compounded combination options.

Clinical oversight: Per-tablet prices published on the provider's own men's sexual performance page, with each product labeled FDA-approved or compounded. Every order is subject to a medical consultation and ships only if a licensed U.S. provider prescribes it.

Nu Image Medical is a telehealth clinic that says it was founded in 2004, has operated online since 2008 and is available in all 50 states. Its men's sexual performance line lists four options (all provider-published): a generic sildenafil tablet as low as $3 per tablet and a generic tadalafil tablet as low as $5 per tablet, both FDA-approved and both priced on a 12-month supply; a compounded sildenafil plus tadalafil rapid-dissolve tablet as low as $4 per tablet on a 5-month supply; and the compounded Mt. Everest program (tadalafil, oxytocin and PT-141) from $4 per tablet on a 5-month supply.

You share your goals online, a licensed U.S. provider reviews them, and medication ships discreetly only if it is prescribed.

The sildenafil and tadalafil tablets are FDA-approved generics. The combination tablets and the Mt. Everest program are compounded, and Nu Image's own page notes compounded medications are not approved by the FDA.

What we like

  • Lowest published per-tablet price we track on FDA-approved generics
  • Each product labeled FDA-approved or compounded
  • Available in all 50 states

Worth noting

  • Lowest prices require a 12-month supply
  • Combination and Mt. Everest products are compounded, not FDA-approved

Who should buy it: Adults 18+ who want an FDA-approved generic tablet at a low per-tablet price and are comfortable buying a multi-month supply.

What we don't like: The lowest prices depend on a 12-month supply, so the up-front cost is higher than a one-month order, and the combination products are compounded rather than FDA-approved.

Bottom line: If you want the FDA-approved generic tablet and are fine buying a longer supply, Nu Image lists the lowest per-tablet prices we track: sildenafil as low as $3 and tadalafil as low as $5. The low figures are tied to a 12-month supply, so check the up-front total before you pay.

HealthyMale logo

HealthyMale

4.5Advertised new-customer intro offers (style of 20 generic ED pills for $39); regular generic sildenafil and tadalafil from ~$20; free doctor consult advertised with purchase (verify current offer at checkout)

A long-running US men's-health pharmacy whose new-customer intro pricing on FDA-approved generics is the nearest legitimate equivalent to a free sample.

Clinical oversight: Verifiable accreditation (VIPPS pharmacies, LegitScript, HIPAA) and unusually transparent itemized pricing; intro offers rotate through its promotional channels, so confirm the current one on the site before you order.

HealthyMale is one of the longest-operating men's-health telehealth pharmacies in the US, reporting operations since 1998 and pairing US-licensed physicians with VIPPS-certified pharmacies. It matters for this page for one reason: its published pricing and rotating new-customer offers get closer to "free sample" territory than anything else we could verify in this category.

What the intro offer looks like. Through its promotional and affiliate channels, HealthyMale has advertised introductory bundles for first-time customers in the style of 20 generic ED pills for $39. That works out to roughly two dollars a dose for FDA-approved generic medication, prescribed by a licensed physician, from an accredited pharmacy. Intro offers rotate and terms change, so treat that as an example of the style of offer rather than a quote, and verify the current deal on the HealthyMale site.

Even at regular prices, generic sildenafil and generic tadalafil are advertised starting around $20, the site advertises a free doctor consultation and free prescription with purchase, and ordering is a-la-carte with no forced subscription. The gap between that and "free" is small enough that chasing sketchy free-pill sites makes no sense.

Access runs through a phone consultation with a US-licensed physician, and a prescription is issued only at the clinician's discretion, which is exactly what a legitimate offer should require. For trust signals, the site displays LegitScript verification, HIPAA compliance, and VIPPS-certified pharmacies.

What we like

  • Advertised new-customer intro bundles, the closest verifiable thing to a free ED sample
  • FDA-approved generic sildenafil and tadalafil from ~$20 at regular prices
  • Free doctor consultation advertised with purchase
  • No forced subscription; VIPPS, LegitScript, and HIPAA trust signals

Worth noting

  • No literally free product, a consult and purchase are still required
  • Intro offers rotate, the exact bundle changes, verify before ordering
  • Phone consult rather than on-demand video

Who should buy it: Adults 18+ who came looking for a free sample and want the legitimate near-equivalent: a low-cost first order of FDA-approved generics from an accredited pharmacy, with an advertised free consult and no subscription commitment.

What we don't like: Intro offers rotate and are not always identical, so the exact bundle you see may differ from what was advertised elsewhere; the consult is by phone rather than video.

Bottom line: If you searched for free ED samples, this is the offer to check first: HealthyMale has advertised introductory bundles for new customers in the style of 20 generic ED pills for $39, pairs them with an advertised free physician consultation with purchase, and sells FDA-approved generics from around $20 with no subscription. Verify the current intro offer on its site, promotions change.

03 · Low per-dose price with several ED options in one clinic

Regenics Sexual Wellness

3.9Treatments advertised from $4.25/dose; membership required (the site shows "Join for $39"), verify current

A men's health clinic offering sildenafil, tadalafil, PT-141 and a combination blend after a free online questionnaire.

Clinical oversight: Per-dose starting price and product list published on the provider's sexual wellness page; a licensed provider reviews a free online questionnaire before prescribing. Some formulations are compounded.

Regenics lists sildenafil, tadalafil (which it notes also treats BPH symptoms), a three-ingredient "Passion Blend" and PT-141 on its sexual wellness page, with treatments advertised "as low as $4.25/dose." The process is a free online questionnaire, a review by a licensed medical provider, then discreet delivery; insurance is not required. Membership is required to purchase.

Blends and PT-141 are not the same as FDA-approved generic sildenafil or tadalafil tablets. PT-141 (bremelanotide) is FDA-approved only as Vyleesi for premenopausal women with low sexual desire, not for men or for ED. Ask which product you are being prescribed and whether it is compounded.

Who should buy it: Adults 18+ who want a single clinic for ED medication plus other men's health options and do not mind a membership.

What we don't like: Membership required, and per-product prices are not itemized on the public page.

Bottom line: Regenics is worth a look if you want sildenafil or tadalafil alongside other options like PT-141 from one clinic, with treatments advertised from $4.25 a dose. Membership is required and individual product prices are not itemized on the page, so compare the full cost before committing.

Bayan Health logo

Bayan Health ED Capsules

4.1Sildenafil or tadalafil capsules $49/mo on a 3-month plan (provider-published, verify current)

A telehealth clinic that lists sildenafil or tadalafil capsules at $49 a month, the lowest monthly figure we found.

Clinical oversight: Price published on the provider's own men's sexual health page; prescribing happens after an online intake reviewed by a licensed clinician. Capsules are a pharmacy-prepared format, so ask whether yours are compounded.

Bayan Health is a telehealth clinic whose men's sexual health line lists sildenafil or tadalafil capsules at $49 per month each on a 3-month subscription, alongside a combination "performance stack" (all provider-published). You complete an online intake, a licensed clinician reviews it, and medication ships only if it is prescribed.

Capsules are not the same product as the FDA-approved Viagra or Cialis tablet or its FDA-approved generic tablets. Ask the clinician whether your capsules are compounded, since compounded drugs are not FDA-approved, and read the 3-month plan terms before you pay.

What we like

  • Lowest published monthly price we track
  • Fully online intake
  • Also offers the other PDE5 option if a clinician prefers it

Worth noting

  • 3-month subscription, not a one-time trial
  • Dose per capsule not listed on the category page
  • Capsule format may be compounded, confirm before ordering

Who should buy it: Adults 18+ who want a flat monthly price and are comfortable committing to a 3-month plan.

What we don't like: The $49 figure is tied to a 3-month subscription, the page does not list the dose per capsule, and capsules may be compounded rather than the FDA-approved generic tablet.

Bottom line: If you want a predictable monthly cost rather than a per-pill price, Bayan lists sildenafil or tadalafil capsules at $49 a month on a 3-month plan. It is not a sample, and the plan length matters, but it is the lowest monthly number on a provider's own page among the options we track.

05 · One video visit, then fill a cheap generic at any pharmacy

Best Single-Visit Option
DrHouse logo

DrHouse

4.3Visit $129 or your insurance copay; medication filled and priced separately at the pharmacy you choose (verify)

An on-demand video telehealth platform where a single visit, possibly covered by insurance, gets you a real prescription you can fill cheaply at any pharmacy.

Clinical oversight: LegitScript-approved and HIPAA-compliant with stated 50-state availability and a published visit price; the medication cost depends on the drug and pharmacy you pick, so the total is in your control but not fixed up front.

DrHouse approaches the sample question from the other side: instead of bundling medication, it makes the clinical visit itself fast and low-commitment. It is an on-demand telehealth platform, LegitScript-approved and HIPAA-compliant, available in all 50 states, where the company states a provider can join a video visit in roughly 15 minutes.

Why that matters for sample hunters. The ED visit is listed at $129 or your insurance copay, and DrHouse states insurance may cover the visit. When clinically appropriate, the physician e-prescribes sildenafil, tadalafil, vardenafil, avanafil, or alprostadil to the pharmacy of your choice, where the medication is priced separately. Generic sildenafil and tadalafil are inexpensive at many US pharmacies, especially with discount programs, so a copay visit plus a small generic fill can be one of the cheapest compliant ways to start.

There is no subscription and no bundled auto-ship: you pay for one visit, you get one prescription decision from a licensed physician, and you control where and whether to fill it. That is the honest version of "just let me try it."

DrHouse does not prescribe controlled substances, and a prescription is never guaranteed, the clinician decides. If you want an all-in bundle with medication included, HealthyMale's model will feel simpler; if you want clinical speed and pharmacy flexibility, DrHouse is the one.

  • Insurance may cover the visit, potentially reducing it to a copay
  • E-prescribes to any pharmacy, so you can shop the lowest generic price
  • Fast: provider joins by video in about 15 minutes, per the company

Worth noting

  • Medication priced separately, no bundled total
  • Visit fee applies regardless of the prescribing decision
  • No physical product ever ships from DrHouse itself

Who should buy it: Adults 18+ who want a one-time, no-subscription evaluation from a licensed physician, would like the chance to put insurance toward the visit, and are comfortable filling a generic prescription at their own pharmacy.

What we don't like: You have to price the medication yourself at the pharmacy, so there is no single all-in number to compare, and the visit fee applies even if the clinician decides medication is not appropriate.

Bottom line: The smart pick if your real question behind 'free samples' is 'what would this cost me to just try, once': one video visit at $129 or your copay, no subscription, and an e-prescription you can fill as a cheap generic at whatever pharmacy prices it lowest.

What is Ro Sparks?

Ro Sparks is a compounded prescription ED treatment that puts sildenafil and tadalafil into one drop that dissolves under the tongue. Ro's safety information gives the strength as sildenafil 55 mg and tadalafil 22 mg in each dose. Ro calls it a "dual-action" formula: sildenafil for a fast start and tadalafil for a long window. Ro says it is a fruit-flavored drop, and Megan Fox appears in its advertising.

Sildenafil and tadalafil are both FDA-approved PDE5 inhibitors, sold as Viagra and Cialis and as cheap generics. The combination in one drop is not an FDA-approved product. Ro's own page says compounded medications "are not FDA-approved, but are permitted to be prescribed under federal law," and do not undergo FDA safety, effectiveness or manufacturing review.

Ro Sparks review: what users report

Ro's Sparks page showed a 4.47 out of 5 rating from 274 patient reviews on October 30, 2026. The reviews Ro displays are mixed in the way real reviews usually are: some say it works well with no side effects, others say it is only partly effective. Ro also says almost 2,000,000 members have been treated for ED through Ro, which covers all its ED products, not Sparks alone.

Those are reviews on the seller's own page. The questions to answer for yourself are price per dose, whether you need two PDE5 inhibitors at once, and the 24-hour dosing rule.

Ro Sparks price

Ro Sparks costs $12 a dose on a recurring monthly plan. Ro offers 4 to 14 doses a month, from $48 for 4 doses to $168 for 14. Ro's pricing page lists the common plans up to $120 for 10 doses. Quarterly plans are available and get a $15 discount every 3 months. Shipping is free. Your provider recommends the plan, and the subscription renews until you change it in your Ro account.

  • 4 doses a month: $48
  • 10 doses a month: $120
  • 14 doses a month: $168

For context, Ro's own FDA-approved generic sildenafil is $4 a dose for 25 mg, $6 for 50 mg and $10 for 100 mg, with an 8-dose monthly minimum ($32 a month at 25 mg). Daily generic tadalafil at Ro is $8 a dose. A Ro Sparks dose costs more than any single generic sildenafil dose at Ro. See our Hims vs Ro comparison for the full Ro price list.

How fast Ro Sparks works and how long it lasts

Ro says Sparks works in about 15 minutes on average after the drop dissolves, and the tadalafil keeps it active for up to 36 hours. The drop takes about 10 minutes to dissolve, so plan on roughly 25 minutes from placing it to effect. Ro says to take it at least 15 minutes before sex, avoid eating or drinking while it dissolves, and that meals should not slow it down because it is absorbed under the tongue.

The 36 hours is a window, not a 36-hour erection. Ro says the medication "stays available in your body to support erections when you're sexually stimulated within that window." Sexual stimulation is still needed.

How to take Ro Sparks

Place one drop under your tongue and let it dissolve completely. Ro's safety information says do not chew it, though once it has dissolved a little you can bite it in two and put it back under the tongue to melt faster. Take it at least 15 minutes before sex. Do not take more than one dose in 24 hours, and do not take it within 24 hours of any other ED medication containing sildenafil or tadalafil. If you already use Viagra, Cialis or a generic, talk to your provider before switching.

Ro Sparks side effects

Ro lists the most common side effects of Sparks as headache, flushing, indigestion, abnormal vision, nasal congestion, back pain, muscle pain, nausea, dizziness, rash and limb pain. These are the known side effects of sildenafil and tadalafil, which MedlinePlus lists for each drug.

  • Low blood pressure: Ro's safety information says this compounded drug contains two PDE5 inhibitors and to watch for signs of severely low blood pressure, such as dizziness, fainting or a prolonged erection.
  • Alcohol: Ro says heavy drinking may increase the risk of a blood pressure drop, dizziness or lightheadedness.
  • Allergens: Sparks contains Red Dye No. 40 and Yellow Dye No. 5 (tartrazine), and may contain coconut from the compounding process.
Get emergency care for an erection lasting more than 4 hours, chest pain, fainting, or sudden loss of vision or hearing.

Is Ro Sparks safe?

For a healthy adult whose clinician approves it, the two ingredients are well studied on their own. The combination dose is compounded, so the FDA has not reviewed it. Two points to know before you start:

  • Tadalafil dose: each Sparks dose has 22 mg of tadalafil. The FDA label for Cialis lists 20 mg as the maximum recommended as-needed dose. Ro itself notes each drop "contains a high dose of tadalafil."
  • Two PDE5 inhibitors at once: the FDA labels for Viagra and Cialis do not cover taking them together. Ro's safety information treats this as a reason to watch for low blood pressure.

Do not take Ro Sparks if you take nitrates such as nitroglycerin or isosorbide, or a guanylate cyclase stimulator such as riociguat. Ro also asks about heart conditions, bleeding disorders or ulcers, kidney or liver disease, pulmonary hypertension and retinitis pigmentosa. Answer the intake completely, because the provider only knows what you report.

How to get Ro Sparks

You complete an online visit about your health history and ED symptoms, which Ro says most people finish in about 20 minutes. A Ro-affiliated licensed provider reviews it in about 24 hours. If prescribed, the medication ships free in discreet packaging and arrives in 4 to 7 days. Ro includes free, unlimited follow-up messaging, and the provider can change your treatment. You manage refills and the subscription in your Ro account.

Ro Sparks vs other dissolving ED combinations

  • Ro Sparks: sildenafil 55 mg and tadalafil 22 mg, $12 a dose.
  • BlueChew MAX and Gold: MAX combines sildenafil and tadalafil; Gold adds apomorphine and oxytocin and costs $7.30 to $23.17 a dose. See our BlueChew review.
  • Rugiet Ready: sildenafil, tadalafil and apomorphine in a troche; Rugiet's own blog quotes about $7.29 to $19.96 a dose. See our Rugiet review.
  • Hims Hard Mints: Hims lists 3-in-1 Hard Mints from $30 a month. See our Hims Hard Mints review.

All four are compounded and none is FDA-approved. Of the combinations above with published ingredients, Sparks is the simplest: two standard PDE5 ingredients and no apomorphine or oxytocin.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • Clear published price: $12 a dose, with plan totals shown
  • Dissolves under the tongue, no need to plan around meals
  • Only standard ED ingredients, no apomorphine or oxytocin
  • Free shipping and unlimited follow-up messaging
  • Ro also sells FDA-approved generics if you want to switch

Cons

  • Compounded, not FDA-approved
  • Costs more per dose than Ro's own generic sildenafil
  • 22 mg tadalafil is above Cialis's 20 mg labeled as-needed maximum
  • Contains Red No. 40 and Yellow No. 5, may contain coconut
  • Subscription billing

Who Ro Sparks suits

Ro Sparks suits an adult whose provider recommends a combination, who wants an under-the-tongue format and a long window from one dose, and who is comfortable with a compounded product at $12 a dose.

Consider a generic first if you have not tried sildenafil or tadalafil alone, want an FDA-approved product, or want the lowest price. Nu Image Medical and HealthyMale (cards above) list generics for less, and DrHouse lets you fill a prescription at any pharmacy. For the whole field, see the best ED telehealth providers.

Questions, answered

How much does Ro Sparks cost?

Ro lists Ro Sparks at $12 a dose on a monthly plan, from $48 a month for 4 doses to $168 for 14. Quarterly plans get a $15 discount every 3 months. Prices read on ro.co on October 30, 2026.

What is in Ro Sparks?

Sildenafil 55 mg and tadalafil 22 mg, the active ingredients in Viagra and Cialis, compounded into one drop that dissolves under the tongue. Inactive ingredients include Red Dye No. 40, Yellow Dye No. 5 and possibly coconut.

Is Ro Sparks FDA-approved?

No. Ro states Sparks is a compounded medication that is not FDA-approved and has not undergone FDA safety, effectiveness or manufacturing review. Its two ingredients are FDA-approved separately as tablets.

How long does Ro Sparks last?

Ro says up to 36 hours, because it contains tadalafil. That means erections are easier to get with stimulation during that window, not a constant erection. An erection lasting more than 4 hours needs emergency care.

How fast does Ro Sparks work?

Ro says about 15 minutes on average after the drop dissolves, and the drop takes about 10 minutes to dissolve. Ro says to take it at least 15 minutes before sex.

What are the side effects of Ro Sparks?

Ro lists headache, flushing, indigestion, abnormal vision, nasal congestion, back and muscle pain, nausea, dizziness, rash and limb pain. Watch for signs of low blood pressure such as dizziness or fainting. This is educational information, not medical advice.

Can I take Ro Sparks with Viagra or Cialis?

No. Ro says not to take Sparks within 24 hours of any other ED medication containing sildenafil or tadalafil, and not more than once in 24 hours.

Is Ro Sparks worth it?

It depends on whether you need a combination. Ro's own generic sildenafil costs $4 to $10 a dose and is FDA-approved. Sparks costs $12 a dose for a compounded two-drug drop. Many people try a generic first and ask the provider about a combination only if it does not work.
